Imperative Mood is a form of Verb expressing an action as a command, request or warning, but can be easily guessed from both the context and the form of the Verb. The subject is always in Second Person.

ए/paDhie denote an immediate compliance of the order or request whereas the ना/naa verb form indicates a somewhat remote compliance, i.e. at some subsequent time. In some situations the use of ज़रा/zaraa is also common, i.e. ज़रा यह किताब पकड़ाना/ zaraa yah kitab pakaDaanaa, ज़रा इधर आना/ zaraa idhar aanaa. The modal suffix इएगा/iegaa also indicates with some additional element of politeness. See:
